This year's MET Gala red carpet was all the rage. From the fun, couture looks, to the sleek and sophisticated, the stars made sure to impress! This year's theme was “Gilded Glamour” as part of the second half of “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” Here are our favorite looks of the night.

Kim Kardashian

Can you say, iconic? Kim graced the red carpet wearing the authentic gown worn by Marilyn Monroe when she sang “Happy Birthday” to former President JFK. This gown is embellished with 6,000 crystals and was the original “nude dress” at that time, which translates to today's fashion perfectly. Kim made sure to add her own modern touch with her slick back platinum bun. This shows that a good, glamorous dress never goes out of style!

Blake Lively

She understood the assignment and aced it! As a co-chair, Blake embodied the theme “Gilded Glamour” and looked absolutely stunning while doing so. Her gown pays homage to both The Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. She turned heads when she revealed her incredible dress transformation from a glam copper to a fabulous teal (a nod to the metal oxidation of Lady Liberty throughout the years). A 10/10!

Kaia Gerber

Our favorite model showed up serving face, dress… and hair! This gorgeous high-neckline gown featured nude and silver fabric that exudes glamour throughout. We loved the detail of the fabric and the cut outs at the waist that added a modern touch to this look. Her long, waved hair helped tie the ensemble together to create the perfect vintage vibes. So dreamy!

Alicia Keys

This girl is on fire! Alicia wowed in a completely crystal encrusted gown, but the star of the show was her gorgeous, intricately designed cape. The satin cape featured the New York City skyline which was so fitting for the NYC native! We loved her ponytail accessory and the entire look itself was such a moment. Gorg!

Bieber fever is real, but this time it’s for Hailey! She showed up to the red carpet looking like a dream. Her ensemble featured a high-slit satin gown, sheer black tights, and an oversized, feather-trimmed shawl to add a touch of old Hollywood glam. She rocked her signature clean makeup and sleek bun and we live for it. You go girl!

Kylie Jenner

Another sibling from the Kardashian-Jenner family on our list? Of course! Kylie’s red carpet gown was bold and fun, but we are obsessed with her after party look! She stayed on theme and complimented her red carpet look by wearing a satin gown paired with an ivory corset and long mesh sleeves. We love this chic and sleek look on her!

Gemma Chan

Last but certainly not least, Gemma showed up on theme and on point, honey! This intricate and extravagant gown embodied the gilded age glamour perfectly. The dramatic hip structure was complemented by the chic beaded leather jacket for the right combination of edgy and modern. We love the attention to detail and her hair and makeup suited this look beautifully.

Starting off with the most fabulous look of the night, Dakota looks incredible in this dusty nude ombre gown. The lush bell sleeves and a-line train behind her featured feathers galore. We love how simple her styling was to make this dress speak for itself!

Laura Harrier in OFF-White

Polka dots but make it modern! This ensemble features a structured silhouette with sequined fabric throughout. The styling and accessories were the perfect touch to keep this look youthful and fun. So gorgeous!

Kiernan Shipka in Elie Saab

Oh-so chic! The perfect gown to pose on the red carpet and run to the dance floor right after. This gown featured a side cut out with a layered ruffle skirt. A 10/10 from us!

We love a good dramatic gown when we see one. This asymmetrical velvet gown flattered her figure while the oversized bubble shawl added the glamour we all love!

Mila Kunis in Zuhair Murad

The structure. The hue. The styling. Mila Kunis was an absolute goddess at this year's event. This satin gown merged a classic design and put a modern twist on it with the asymmetrical shoulder and skirt design. This is such a hit!

Pauletta Washington in Dolce & Gabbana

Pauletta and Denzel Washington both showed up looking great, but she stole the show in her beautifully bright orange gown. A pop of color like this always pays off, and we are in love with the way it fits her. A show stopper!

Emilia Jones in Dolce & Gabbana

This actress showed up and showed out! This fully-beaded, asymmetrical cut out gown flattered her figure and the ombre effect complimented her skin tone so well. An A+ from us!

Zendaya in Valentino

This ensemble featured a cropped, button-up blouse with a fabulously fully-sequined skirt. This combination can be risky, but we loved how simple yet so modern this look came to be. Our queen never disappoints!

Becky G in Etro

Good structure can make a look go from 100 to 110! This fully beaded gown featured a straight-cut neckline that accentuated Becky’s face and hair beautifully. The crystal encrusted hip detail gave a breath of fresh air to this gorgeous look.

Naomi Scott in Fendi Couture

This is a style we don’t see quite often on the red carpet. This high-neck cape design featured beautiful embroidery while she wore a simple, straight-cut gown underneath. The deep purple satin helps make this look extra rich, and her hair and makeup made this look uber-chic and youthful. So gorg!

Tiffany Haddish in Dolce & Gabbana

From the fit to the color, this gown was everything! The dark emerald sequins gave the perfect accent of color without overpowering the look. We love the diamond accents and the black satin on the neckline. Her styling was a 10/10!

Takeaway trends? Simple silhouettes can make a fabulous impact, neutral colors are a staple, and good pops of color always work in your favor!

This dress made waves all over the world once she wore it on the Grammys red carpet. The singer always slays her red-carpet appearances, and this look has etched itself into fashion history (and our heart!)

Louis Vuitton - MET Gala

The rising star made her first ever MET Gala appearance wearing this gold dress and the whole world screamed “YAS!”. This metallic cutout mini dress showed off her mile-long legs and she had the perfect accessories to match. This was a fun and glamorous look that was very different from what we usually see Chamberlain in. A 10/10 for her!

We know Kourtney showing up to the VMA’s with her now fiancé Travis Barker was a moment, but this super sleek, leather LBD was THE moment! We love an unexpected take on a classic, and this mini dress made Kourtney the star of the show.

Neon is one of the hottest trends right now and we loved seeing Ciara brighten up the Met Gala in this neon green number. This fully sequined dress featured an open back cutout and a long train. She honored her husband, NFL quarterback Russel Wilson, by rocking his team's color and his jersey number. Talk about goals!

Our Latina queen, Eiza, pulled up to the MET Gala in this sleek red number. This dark hue complimented her skin tone perfectly and the details of the gown made this look classic yet modern. Rocking a simple look can make a big statement!

We. Are. Not. Worthy. This beautiful purple color stands out while the design fits her to a T. Zendaya rocked this at the BET Awards and paid homage to Beyonce’s dress she wore to the same award show 18 years before. We love this look just as much as we love Zendaya.

Kim showed up to the MET Gala in this literal all-black ensemble that consisted of a t-shirt dress layered over tights and a long sleeve underneath. She sure knows how to make a statement, and many people were torn on whether they liked this or not. One thing is for sure though, this goes into history as one of the most memorable looks of all time.

Alexis Mabille - VMA’s

As many of our readers may know, we love a good bow moment. Camila gave all the drama at the VMA’s in this satin pink and red gown. Not only does this color combination look amazing on her, but the way she paired her accessories and make up to match makes this such a fun and beautiful look. She totally slayed!

Dundas - Oscars

2021 was the year that celebrities emulated and celebrated other celebrities and we love seeing it. H.E.R. showed up to the Oscars red carpet in a beautiful blue beaded pant suit inspired by the late Prince. Although this isn’t technically a dress, we live for a good pant look. This was the “Best Part” of the night.

Our favorite Russian supermodel never disappoints. Irina showed up to the MET Gala in this sheer gown embellished with flower appliques and kept the rest of her look clean and simple. This was definitely a daring choice, but she looked so gorgeous in this. As they say, with great risk comes a fabulous reward. (Okay, maybe we switched the words a bit, but you totally get us!)

Give us the DRAMA honey! Rina wore this gown to the BRIT Awards and not only did she make history at the award show, she looked fabulous while doing so. From the tiered ruffles to the avant-garde shoulder pieces, this purple gown is such a beautiful hit.

Speaking of drama, here comes our queen with a second spot on our list (are we surprised?) She consistently served looks throughout the year and we’re glad we can document it all. She wore this incredible red two-piece at the CFDA Fashion Awards and this dramatic ruffle on the skirt made her look absolutely stunning.

Think of the wild-wild-west and haute couture and merge them together, that’s how J-lo showed up to the MET Gala serving all the western vibes. This chocolate brown gown was completed with chunky metal accessories and of course, a cowboy hat. This town ain’t big enough for all this fabulousness!
